COSTA DEL SOL

A visit to the province of Málaga and the Costa del Sol is experiencing beautiful scenery, taste fine cuisine and enjoy a wide variety of activities. But discovering the extensive cultural offer, the stunning coastlines and beaches and the villages of the interior is also particularly attractive.

The success of the Costa del Sol as a desirable tourist destination has always been the unique mild Mediterranean climate with summer temperatures averaging 25 ° C. Combined with over 300 days of sunshine per year, a water temperature between 18 ° C in spring and 24 ° C in August makes the summer reach far beyond the months of July, August and September.

Cultural cities such as Malaga, Ronda, Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz are between a half hour and two hours by car. The British enclave of Gibraltar with its wild monkeys is only about 1 hour away from Cabopino.

CABOPINO

Cabopino is situated midway between Marbella and Fuengirola, both cities are within a 15 minute drive away. To Malaga airport its about 30 minutes.
Cabopino is, as the name suggests, a peninsula reaching into the sea, which is overgrown with dense pine woods. The environment is the nature reserve of the Dunes of Artola, which is dominated by Torre Ladrones, a Moorish watchtower of the 14th century. This protected area has ensured that the area of Cabopino is relatively little built, so it could preserve its natural charm.
Also known as Playa Artola, the approximately 2km-long beach of Playa de Cabopino is hidden in a protected area with numerous dunes. There are toilets and showers, and in the summer the beach is monitored by lifeguards. At the west end of the beach there is a nudist area.
The beach is of gorgeous fine white sand and the water is clearer as anywhere else in Marbella.
In Puerto Cabopino there is a managed beach with sun beds and parasols and a wide selection of seafood and international restaurants.

MARBELLA

The municipality of Marbella is over 100 square kilometers and stretches along a coastline with beautiful beaches. The Geography of Marbella is particularly attractive because of the rare contrast between the mountains behind Marbella and coastline, consistring of fine sandy beaches from Cabopino to Guadalmina. The coastline is only broken by the marinas Cabopino, the fishing port and marina in Marbella and Puerto Banus.
During the summer months Marbella is turned in the scene for many famous artists, actors and other celebrities who spend their annual vacation and enjoy the extensive leisure and entertainment offer of the place, such as golf courses, a casino and more.

One of the prime attractions for visitors and residents in Marbella is the local microclimate. The city lies in the protection behind her majestic, towering Sierra Blanca and enjoys mild winters and pleasantly warm, but not hot summers. In this climate  grows lush and abundant vegetation throughout the year, which gave Marbella the nickname "Ciudad Jardin"  (City of Gardens).

For decades, Marbella was the city with the highest volume of foreign investment in Spain, and within the municipality you can find the best-equipped golf courses in Europe. Also the nautical sport has developed with the investment in marinas.

Marbella is truly a paradise landscape with excellent leisure facilities. The range of sports and other leisure activieties offered is immense. Marbella has been the star of the tourism on the Costa del Sol and is its most precious jewel.

BEACHES

The coastline of the Costa del Sol stretches over a total of 161 km with extensive sandy beaches and secluded coves. During the long summer days the intense beach life often extends well into the evening or even the night. With over 300 sunny days per year and a water temperature between 18 ° C in spring and 24 ° C in August,  summer reaches far beyond the months of July, August and September. Along the coast there are many different possibilities for water activities, all with a very good range of services. No wonder that the EU distinguishes the beaches of the Costa del Sol each year with the prestigious Blue Flags.

Almost anywhere along the Costa del Sol, there are the beaches with small bars or restaurants, the typical chiringuitos. Here  the number one is fresh fish on the menu and the prices are moderate. Beaches with the most comprehensive range of services are usually in the vicinity of cities and urbanization. Here the guest is king, and receives everything for the perfect beach holiday: sun loungers, public showers and toilets, lifeguards, a wide range of water sports and modern marinas.
